Description
The deuterium lamp emits radiation from 112 nm to 900 nm, although its continuous range is only from 180 nm to 370 nm. The intensity of the spectrum does not actually decrease from 250 nm to 200 nm as shown in the spectrum diagram above. The continuous spectrum of deuterium lamps is useful as a reference in UV radiometric work and also for generating signals in various photometric devices.
